Walking down on the moor, today, at the bottom paddock--a purple paddock, actually--full of that tall wild purple weed that looks like "everlasting" (Stachys?), but isn't.

The Stone Pine I planted from a seed, about 26 years ago, is so very HUGE now. The wild cockatoos eat the nuts, so that's nice. We ought to bend our steps down there, more often, and collect some nut-filled cones for ourselves, too! (I also have another smaller Stone Pine tree nearer the house, but it hasn't started yielding nuts yet. Should be developing cones in the next year or so.)
