The shed roof—also called a lean-to roof—is the most straightforward roof style for a porch. Due to its single, sloping surface that protrudes from the main building, this roof form is inexpensive and simple to construct. Because of the shed roof's simple, one-way slope, it requires very little material and work. Because of the effective rainfall runoff provided by this single slope, maintenance and leak risk are eventually decreased.
